Too generous in your appreciation!
beautiful visuals but truly a waste to not use the Nina Simone version which is a masterpiece!
Nobody can beat Nina Simone..there's everything in her cover, love, sadness, soul.. and her voice..
"Wild Is the Wind" is a song written by Dimitri Tiompkin and Ned Washington. The track was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis for the 1956 film Wild Is the Wind, and later covered by Nina Simone ... and of course, david bowie
I'm fairly sure Bowie didn't write this
Bowie's version can never be topped. Plus his genius wrote this masterpiece. It's nice to hear someone cover it, but nothing will ever top the Bowie original.
Are you morons really comparing Ziggy and the guy from Wham's versions of this standard with the great Nina Simone. You have got to be kidding.
Exceptional!
bowie
and the king is david bowie
Yes it is George Michael from his Songs from the Past Century album. And his cover of this song is amazing.
Yes this is George Michael. Can't make my mind up whose version I prefer but this one is so well played instrumentally it's right up there.Pax to all from ian Smith.Xxx.

I like this version very much! My favorite is Ms. Simone's, but this is second! Thank you. Like your "station" very much and will come back again to listen.
I am afraid David Bowie's version IS the version to have. This is tooooooooo schmalllltzzzzy.
matter of taste ! find a better version of you .... it's true ... your present version ... SUCK !

Don't forget Bowie's great version too...
of course no one does this song like Nina Simone, but have to say this is marvelous. Come back and listen often.
